Summer Sewing days

A fun, creative and confidence-building sewing day designed for teens!

Spend a relaxed and inspiring day stitching, making and learning new skills. Perfect for new and advanced sewists alike, this hands-on workshop gives teens the opportunity to work on their own garment making project at their own level and speed, with plenty of guidance and encouragement throughout the day.

Participants can build confidence using a sewing machine, improve existing skills, learn new techniques and enjoy the satisfaction of creating something handmade in a welcoming and supportive environment.

This workshop is all about creativity, self-expression and the joy of making something yourself.

Experience wise, it would be good if you have used a sewing machine before and can sew in a straight line.

You will need fabric and a pattern which we can discuss once you have booked. We recommend shorts, skirt or PJ bottoms for new sewists as these could be finished in one day. If you are more advanced it may not matter to you to finish the project in one day, so you can work on anything you choose

7-Week Fashion & Sewing Course for Teens

Learn to read commercial patterns, sew & create your own clothing

Are you a budding designer or simply curious about how clothes are made? This fun and hands-on 6-week fashion course introduces teenagers to the exciting world of sewing, garment construction, and pattern use. No experience needed — just creativity and enthusiasm!

Course Overview

Over six weeks, students will explore the fundamentals of garment construction while completing their own wearable project. Guided by an experienced instructor, participants will learn to read and use a commercial sewing pattern, operate a sewing machine safely, and bring their design ideas to life. The course is flexible so if you already have done some of the components you can skip on the next bit!
