These awesome sessions are for 12-16 year olds and are designed to get participants feeling comfortable with the machine, developing skills to start making more advanced projects, especially clothes.

In the holidays we run one off days where you can get stuck into

a project and really develop your skills.

In the term time we run a course where you come every week for 6-8 weeks depending on the length of the term.

We start on week 1 with a quick Get to Know the Sewing Machine session.

Even if you can already sew, you'll definitely learn something new!

If you are new to sewing we will begin with simple bunting,

cushions or bags, and will quickly move on to making PJs, shorts or a skirt.

You will need to provide your own fabric. We will advise what to get but for garments this class is about learning to use patterns rather than freestyling..

If you are more advanced you can bring your own project to the class - choosing your pattern and fabric, so you will be working at your level and on a project you love! It can be a sewing book, or a commercial pattern and Saj can help you find an appropriate pattern and advise on what fabric to get.

We recommend you bring your own machine if you have one.

Our studio sewing machines have speed control to keep fingers safe

and aid slow speed learning!
